The Solar Planet Foundation
The
«Solar Planet» Foundation was created by a number of participants in the PlanetSolar adventure who had a joint desire to give the project and its philosophy durability.
Today there are a number of promising projects in the field of the environment and renewable energies but that, by a lack of support and funds, will never really come into being. The aim of the
«Solar Planet» foundation is to set up fund research campaigns to support scientific research and national and international educational programmes. It's also through technological improvements in the field of energy or by promoting methods allowing savings to be made without restraint that the foundation provides its support to concrete projects based around the environment.
Solar Planet is also involved alongside Swiss Grandes Ecoles in carrying out research aimed at combining the "cleanest" with the "most profitable". Furthermore the Foundation supports the
PlanetSolar project, the first round the world trip by solar power, which will take place in 2010 on a revolutionary solar ship.
